Fatty sulphate cellulose is used as a raw material in the manufacture of paper for cable insulation, which ensures good mechanical properties of the finished material, including low porosity and high density. In the course of production, the material is impregnated with oil rosin or transformer oil, which increases the electric strength of the paper from 6-9 kV / mm to 70-90 kV / mm.
